This statement encompasses the financial performance of all members of the Lancaster General Health system, including Lancaster General Hospital, Women & Babies Hospital, Lancaster General Health Physicians and Lancaster General Health Outpatient Facilities. As a not-for-profit organization, any profits realized at year-end are reinvested in new technology, our employees and facilities to better serve our community.

 

 


Government Affairs & Grants Received

The Lancaster General Health Government Affairs & Grants Program works with numerous organization and community partners to secure federal, state, and private funding to deliver quality patient care, utilize medical advancements and technologies, and continue to meet the need for new and specialized services that advance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

In the last fiscal year, the program generated almost $2.9 million in grant awards for medical research, capital improvements, patient services and prevention throughout the system.

Funders included the federal government (35.64%), state government (56.96%) and foundations (7.4%). The Grants Program also supported compliance for 43 active grants in collaboration with project directors and the related departments.
